Enjoying the mild winter weather on our NEW church playground!
Our desire is to assist parents with their responsibility of training their children with Biblical truths so that the children may know, love, and follow Jesus Christ!
SUNDAY SCHOOL
During Sunday School, children study God's word and how it applies to their lives through teaching and hands on projects. Sunday school begins at 9:30, and children are welcome to grab a donut from the coffee bar to enjoy in their classrooms. 3 to 5 year olds meet in the "Ocean Room", and elementary students meet in the "Forest Room".
CHILDREN'S CHURCH
Children ages 3 and up start out in "Big Church" each Sunday, and are dismissed for children's church right after the last worship song. We feel that it is important for children to learn from seeing their families worship. However, we also know that kids need their own worship and teaching time. We use a program called "Kids Own Worship". The kids participate in a high energy time of worship that is great at teaching Bible verses put to song, a lesson that incorporates drama, objects, videos, and crafts. Offering is also taken up and used for our mission project of supporting a child in Ethiopia!
WEDNESDAY NIGHT
Ages 3 and up meet from 6-7 on Wednesday nights to study deeper into God's word using a curriculum called Faith Weaver Friends. Our goal is to teach Bible stories, and then teach the children how they can weave those Biblical truths into their daily lives! The kids do a lot of scripture memory during this time as well as earn "points" for their efforts. The last Wednesday of each month is "Store Night". Each child gets to spend his/her points in our class store!
FAMILY NIGHTS
The 3rd Sunday night of each month is an all church family night. This is a fun time of fellowhip as families take time out of their busy schedules and focus on each other and fellowship as a church family. Past events have included game night, a scavenger hunt, and a bowling night. Events and times vary, so stay tuned!
INFANT NURSERY
We have two nurseries at Davis Park. One is right in the back of the sanctuary, and it is also called the "cry room". This is for babies up to 1 year. Please feel free to take your baby there during a "fussy" time or for a private feeding. While you are in the cry room, you can see and hear the worship service on a flat screen television.
TODDLER NURSERY
The toddler nursery is in the "Noah's Ark" room, and it is for toddlers ages 1 to 3. If your child turned 3 before September 1st, they will go to children's church, not the nursery.
